About:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Foreman to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive leadership during the winter season, with a primary focus on managing our critical winter operations, specifically commercial snow and ice removal. You will oversee all landscape projects during the season but must also be prepared to take on a demanding management role for our off-season snow services. This includes ensuring that these services are executed efficiently, to the highest standards, and with a strong emphasis on client safety during winter weather events.

Job Duties:

  • Primary Off-Season Focus: Snow & Ice Management:
  • Lead all commercial snow and ice removal operations, including crew mobilization, route management, equipment deployment, and quality control during winter events (requires flexible, on-call availability).
  • Perform and oversee necessary shop work, equipment maintenance, and winter preparation to ensure the fleet is always ready for immediate deployment.
  • Seasonal Landscape Operations:
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities and workflow for landscape construction and installation projects.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of landscape professionals.
  • Communication & Administration:
  • Communicate effectively with clients, designers, and contractors regarding both seasonal project and winter service status.
  • Accurately track job expenses and hours worked, with specific attention to snow removal event documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape construction or comprehensive landscape management, with verifiable experience leading commercial snow and ice removal operations.
  • Off-Season Commitment: Demonstrated ability and willingness to work an on-call, flexible schedule during winter weather, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
  • Driving & Licensing: CDL Class A certificate (to be obtained within 3 months) with a health endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Proficiency in operating medium-weight equipment commonly used in both landscape construction and large-scale snow operations (e.g., skid steers, loaders, plow trucks).
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude for performing routine maintenance on both construction equipment and snow removal vehicles/attachments.
  • Certifications: Infield Certification to be completed within one year of accepting the position.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Physical Demands: Physical fitness to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and snow.
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
